Thank you to everyone who has contacted me about the Ultimate Recipe Showdown! It’s been really great to hear from friends and family who have seen the episode.
The Food Network will be showing it two more times: Saturday at 4pm EST and Sunday at 6pm EST, so you have a couple more chances to tune in.
They’ve also posted a video of the FN Dish, where Sunny Anderson, Robin Koury, and Katherine Alford gab about the episode. I love Sunny!!! I am such a fan of her shows and I met her in NY and found her to be incredibly bubbly, down-to-earth, and working her ass off on new recipes. Katherine Alford is the Food Network test kitchen director (um hello, can we say DREAM JOB?!?) and a Pomona alum! They dish about my BREAD issues (I may need to get some counseling to overcome my fear of Texas toast…everything from here on out will be on a POTATO bun) and chitchat about the show in general.
I’m also thrilled to see that a couple viewers have tried my Bluegrass Beercheese Melt and have left comments on the recipe! It’s really exciting that I can share my recipes with other food-lovers who are actually willing to make them…I mean, seriously–it makes me so happy to be able to get feedback from others who have recreated my burger in their own homes for their families. So if you get a hankering for a burger and give one of my recipes a whirl, I want to hear about it!
A super congrats to you for URS! I really enjoyed the show–you are a natural for television. I thought is was so cool that it came down to you and Harold…a BBB reunion! You had great looking recipes! Also best of luck at NCCC–I think we were in the same region. Bring home the big prize!

Hey Brigitte, I just saw you on Lex 18 doing deviled eggs, I loved it!! Those eggs were so gorgeous with all the pretty veggies! You are doing great, I am so excited for you!
So I googled the celebrity chef when I got home from the event. Incredible. I will check out your TV show even though I think you may conflict with “Cooking with Cleavage.” Great to see you again. Don.
